My flickr account has pictures that I took back into the late 1990s and over the years with smaller/better compact digital cameras, faster computers/easier picture processing, more storage everywhere and faster uploads the number of pictures that I take/save has slowly increased. I would say that most of my pictures are really about content and memories over quality - but over the years after looking at/sorting thru/choosing more and more pictures I have slowly started to want more quality from and control over the photos - so ADT and I purchased a Sony A65 DSLR! But since I have never had a (D)SLR or photography class before I wanted some help getting started so I started reading: Understanding Exposure, 3rd Edition, Bryan Peterson and The Digital Photography Book: 1, Scott Kelby. Since I am beginner - and not exactly 'deadly serious' about photography I can not critique the content of these books - but I can thank both of them for giving me ideas/basics/information that I could immediately put to use - they have already helped me take some pictures I am happy with! (I suggest reading Understanding Exposure, 3rd Edition, Bryan Peterson first...)

Rating: 4 of 5 (Both books were great and I would recommend them - but both spent time on picture types/topics that I am not currently interested in.)
