Renewal, by JF Perkins, is set in post apocalyptic America - it tells stories from both before and after a nuclear war. This is a fun, quick read. Renewal is the start of a series and judging too much about the world the author is creating from this book alone might be a mistake - but I have to say that the society the author sets up did not really catch my interest - I went on to other books rather than diving deeper into the Renewal series...
