In a recent blog post Alastair Reynolds, one of my favorite science fiction authors, mentioned a book and author that I had never heard of - Vast by Linda Nagata (I was obviously not the only one to take notice of this blog post - Linda Nagata mentions an increase in sales after it went up in a post on her blog).
Interstellar space travel, interesting ancient aliens, nano-tech, interesting future vision and good story. I lost interest just a bit in the last quarter of the book - but certainly not enough to be disappointing - this was a great read! This reminded me of Alastair Reynold's Revelation Space Universe - this book is a good bet if you enjoyed those books...
