It is amazing that after a single reading years ago that I remember details - and more importantly - the incredible brutality of this book. This book is set in a future New York City in a downward spiral (that seems all too possible) and features a coming of age story with an absolutely terrifying transformation...

I only realized that this book was part of the "Dryco" series when reading Jack Womack's Wikipedia page - several of the other books in this series have already been added to my reading list!
