Denis Johnson's Fiskadoro is one of the few print/dead tree books that has stayed on my shelves - not yet available in a digital edition (that I am aware of) and simply too good to part with. I have read this 3 or 4 times, but if you asked me to give a concrete summary of the book I would be at a loss and - stunned someone actually asked me about this book - likely ramble somewhat unhelpfully about heat, beaches in the Keys, dreams, clarinets, nuclear war, memory, sugar cane and the end of the world. In a strange way that may give you some idea if you would be interested...
